Hi, I'm Erik — clinical psychologist that's specialized in cognitive and metacognitive therapy. Over the years, I've gained extensive experience in adult psychiatry and primary care services, where I've been involved in assessment, follow-up, and treatment of a wide range of issues, from mild concerns like stress, low mood, and anxiety to more severe mental health disorders. In addition to therapy, I have served as the intake coordinator for one of Sweden’s largest psychiatric clinics and have experience in teaching, advising, and leading cognitive and psychoeducational groups. I am fluent in English, Swedish, Norwegian and German and can offer therapy in these languages. My aim in therapy is to ensure you feel heard and respected, and that our sessions are meaningful, comprehensible, and effective. I look forward to getting to know you.

I am a certified Metacognitive Therapist (Level 2) with many years of experience. My academic journey in psychology began at University College London, followed by further training in mental health work, classical cognitive therapy, and metacognitive therapy. Most of my professional experience has been at the outpatient clinics within the Adult Psychiatric Department at Vinderen Oslo, which is a hub for research and development in the metacognitive method. I have extensive experience in mental health work, spanning from handling acute crises and severe mental disorders with a mobile crisis team to outpatient therapy with individuals experiencing anxiety and/or depression, both in groups and individually. I am proficient in both English and Norwegian.
